Corporate Travel Programs
What does a managed corporate travel program with Maritime Travel include?
A managed program with Maritime Travel covers program design and travel policy, booking support, duty of care and traveler support including after-hours assistance, spend visibility and reporting, and ongoing account management, all built around your organization's goals and budget.
Is there a minimum organization size or travel spend to work with Maritime Travel?
There's no minimum. Maritime Travel works with organizations of all sizes, from growing businesses setting up their first managed travel program to large enterprises with complex, high-volume travel needs, with programs scoped to fit your organization's travel volume.
Can Maritime Travel manage international travel, not just travel within Canada?
Yes. While Maritime Travel is headquartered in Canada, it books clients wherever their business takes them, both at home and internationally, as a full-service travel management company.
Does Maritime Travel help build or manage a corporate travel policy?
Yes. Travel policy development is part of what Maritime Travel manages for clients, built around your organization's specific goals and budget rather than a generic template.
What kind of after-hours support is available to travelers?
Travelers can reach after-hours assistance by phone at 1-902-423-3806 (US & Canada) or 1-902-423-3806 (outside Canada), by email at afterhours@maritimetravel.ca, or through callback and chat options.
Which booking tools does Maritime Travel integrate with?
Maritime Travel integrates with SAP Concur and Deem, giving your organization visibility and control of travel spend without asking travelers to change how they book. See our Online Booking Tools page for details.
Why Maritime Travel
Why should an organization choose Maritime Travel over a larger, international travel agency?
Maritime Travel is Canada's largest privately owned travel management company, which means organizations get the local, dedicated account management of an independent partner combined with the global reach of the CTM Partner Program, rather than having to choose between the two.
Will our organization have a dedicated account manager, or do we call a general support line?
Depending on the scope of your travel spend, a dedicated account manager will be assigned to help manage your account. Ongoing account management via an account manager or the branch manager, is part of every program Maritime Travel manages, so your organization works with a team that knows your business rather than a rotating support queue.
Is Maritime Travel independently owned?
Yes. Maritime Travel is Canada's largest privately owned travel management company, giving clients an independent point of accountability for their travel program and decision making in Canada.
How long has Maritime Travel been in business?
Maritime Travel was founded in Halifax in 1949, giving it more than 75 years of experience managing travel for organizations across Canada.
Getting Started
What happens after I contact Maritime Travel?
Once you contact Maritime Travel, one of its Business Travel specialists will connect with you to learn about your organization, current travel program, priorities and service requirements. Maritime Travel will assess areas such as travel volume, booking processes, policy, technology, reporting, duty of care and traveler support. From there, Maritime Travel will recommend a customized travel management solution and provide a proposal outlining the service model, technology and implementation approach that best meets your needs.
How quickly can Maritime Travel set up a corporate travel program?
Implementation timelines are tailored to the size and complexity of each organization. Once an agreement is in place, Maritime Travel's dedicated implementation team manages the entire transition, from account and technology configuration and traveler profile setup to policy, reporting, training and testing. Maritime Travel works closely with your team to establish a mutually agreed launch date, with the goal of making the transition as seamless as possible and minimizing disruption to your travelers. A typical corporate program can be implemented within approximately 4–6 weeks, with more complex programs scheduled accordingly.
